Iowa Safe at Home Program

ICAA is delighted to offer information about this important resource for our network once again. Iowa Safe at Home is an address confidentiality program which provides a legal substitute address, mail-forwarding and confidential voter registration and absentee voting. Survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse, assault, trafficking, and stalking are eligible to join Safe at Home. Christy Johnson, the program administrator, will share the details of how the program works, eligibility for the program, application process and more.

Community Action Staff can be a great resource to survivors by sharing this program with them, helping them to maintain their confidentiality while living an active life within their community. Many survivors do not know about the program or know to search for an address confidentiality program, so members in the community who are in positions to share the information are critical.
