Gov. Kim Reynolds issued a proclamation of disaster emergency for Clayton, Allamakee, Fayette and Winneshiek counties in response to severe weather July 11 (Clayton county) and July 19 (Clayton, Allamakee, Fayette and Winneshiek counties). The governor’s proclamation allows state resources to be utilized to respond to and recover from the effects of this severe weather. The proclamation also activates the Iowa Individual Assistance Program for qualifying residents of the four counties. Potential applicants have until September 6, 2017, to submit a claim.
